Responsibilities

The VP of Sales will have a close working relationship with the executive team and will be expected to contribute broadly to the strategic and tactical success of the business. This executive will be responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy, revenue growth, and market leadership for the Core IT business in the APJ region. The position will report directly to the SVP of International Sales, and will manage a team of 35 sales team members to include but not limited to 2 Directors and 4-6 managers. The VP of Sales will provide outstanding sales leadership and direction to ensure the company achieves financial targets focusing on bringing new small and medium business customers onto the SolarWinds Platform.

The VP of Sales will:

  • Further develop and maintain a sustainable, analytical, repeatable, and scalable sales process to enable continued expansion and consistency of performance.

  • Establish leading sales pipeline and velocity metrics including daily/weekly/monthly sales fundamentals.

  • Develop and tightly monitor each sales rep’s performance with clearly defined KPI’s, objectives, goals, schedules, and success criteria.

  • Maintain and improve a successful and positive work environment. Ensure that the sales plan is aligned and supports corporate revenue goal.

  • Drive strategy throughout the region

  • Know and understand how to engage the Channel Partner community

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of well-rounded process and data driven sales leadership experience with recent and significant experience in a leadership position for a growth company of significant size.

  • Drive productivity and efficiency in a high volume, metric driven model. Experience leading and building multi-site national sales teams, including responsibility for budgeting and sales forecasting.

  • Proven track record of adopting and implementing leading industry sales methodologies that fuel organizational growth.

  • Strong analytical skills to understand and manage a complex business environment.

  • Demonstrated ability and inclination to work effectively in an entrepreneurial, dynamic, creative, fast-moving culture. Ability to manage high workload on a day to day and week to week basis.

  • Ability to understand sales representative and team performance with clearly defined objectives, goals, schedule and success criteria.

  • Negotiates skillfully to achieve desired outcomes. Communicates a compelling vision and drives performance through metrics.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have the proven ability to deliver concise, logical written documents and the presence to deliver the company's vision and product definitions to both large and small audiences.

  • Strong personality, management, and leadership capabilities with the ability to effectively motivate the team.

  • Results oriented and driven to succeed with the ability to attract individuals with similar characteristics.

  • Highly organized, assertive and self-directed business style, with strong ability to prioritize competing initiatives and objectives.
