Solarwinds Inc. Learning & Development Manager - Sales Enablement in Ottawa, Ontario

  • Design, develop, and manage Sales Enablement programs based on best practices

  • Serve as program manager for foundational and ongoing learning programs for Sales Representatives, including but not limited to new hire onboarding, sales tools and processes, sales skills, and product education and certifications.

  • Design and develop timely and effective learning solutions in multiple formats (iLT, viLT, digital formats, performance supports, and on-the-job development)

  • Measure the participation, effectiveness, and impact of one-time and ongoing programs to provide regular reporting and analysis for Senior Leaders. Implement recommendations for continual improvement.

  • Work with team members and stakeholders to identify, validate, and address learning needs for multiple categories of Sales Representatives across the globe

  • Make optimal use of our internal knowledge management systems, business applications, and learning management systems for program coordination including registration, assignments, tracking, reporting, testing, and evaluation

  • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with key stakeholders including Sales Leaders, Product Marketing, Sales Operations, HR, and L&D


  • Instructional Design: working knowledge of how salespeople communicate, learn, and apply learning on the job; can translate performance needs into learning solutions that measurably improve business results

  • Sales Acumen: understanding of sales process and professional sales skills

  • Program Management: able to prioritize, scope, plan and execute to move programs forward in a fast-paced, global environment; identifies and surfaces issues and risks; asks for help when needed to move projects forward

  • Technical Competence: comfortable learning and working with new tools, technologies and products; able to quickly grasp, simplify, and communicate technical content

  • Teamwork: able to effectively partner with the business in a way that brings energy and focus and reduces unnecessary friction in interactions   

  • Results Orientation: strong drive to achieve goals and make an impact on the business; takes proactive approach to problem solving

  • Communication: crisp, compelling, and practical style of writing, editing, and speaking

  • Facilitation: confident personal presenceand proven facilitation skills that drive participant engagement in training and meetings

  • Global Awareness: appreciates different working styles and preferences and the interconnectedness of modern business, and works effectively within the global workplace

Require ments :

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Minimum 5+ years of direct sales experience with demonstrated experience designing and delivering sales training, ideally in a software sales environment

  • Ability to occasionally work evenings

  • Experience in a fast-paced, iterative organization

  • Demonstrated passion for sales training and enablement
