We are building a world-class corporate marketing organization for our SolarWinds MSP business unit and global security product segment, looking for a dynamic marketing leader with proven success in designing rich, cohesive corporate marketing programs across all phases of the buyer’s journey, delivering against paid, earned and owned opportunities. The VP, Corporate Marketing MSP role is part of the global corporate marketing team, and is responsible for leading corporate communications, content marketing experts and technical evangelists to develop and deliver stories and digital content that educate and engage our communities, wins new customers and innovates the brand.

We are fast-paced, results-driven and focused on making a difference with our customers, and this leadership role requires a strong mix of both technical and soft skills. The qualified candidate should possess:

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with strengths in people development and creating a fun team environment

  • Strong organization and planning skills to drive collaboration and alignment across marketing functions including brand, corporate communications, product marketing, sales, field marketing, and demand generation.

  • Passion for the customer experience and cutting through the noise, helping connect customers with information that is actionable.

  • Ability to create a content ecosystem that evolves with the data and insights we capture about our audiences and how they are interacting with our content and our brand, always looking for ways to innovate, recycle or consolidate the library

  • Effective at building strong relationships and equity at every engagement

  • Technical knowledge and advocacy across platforms and channels to manage, distribute and monitor content

  • Results-driven with laser focus on analytics, measurement and business agility

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Drive paid, earned and owned strategies that help SolarWinds drive new and current pipeline and revenue growth

  • Lead the corporate marketing strategy and execution across audience profiles/personas, campaigns, channels (display, mobile, social, etc.), platforms and marketing functions (brand awareness, PR, web, product, sales) for the SolarWinds MSP business unit and the security category company-wide

  • Build comprehensive and effective marketing programs that include messaging and positioning, editorial, format, tone/voice, buyer’s journey mapping, quality production, compliance, distribution, and promotion to amplify reach and utilization

  • Lead the social media marketing strategy and cross functional team to build awareness, brand, and consideration

  • Grow customer engagement through live and virtual events using the latest technology and content formats to drive reach, participation, and content syndication

  • Develop new ways to tell the story, across new channels that connect IT Pros and Managed Services Providers (MSPs) with technical knowledge and content, ultimately leading to higher response volumes and conversions for SolarWinds portfolio

  • Build strong cross-group teaming across marketing functions to drive alignment and consistent, on-time, quality execution

  • Nurture and grow a high-performing marketing organization across creative and technical functions that drives results and promotes positive teaming

  • Drive messaging and communications for applicable Corporate Development initiatives

  • Manage the communications for all incidents as classified in the SolarWinds Incident Response Plan

  • Develop and manage Corporate Marketing budget for business unit and targeted segments

  • Strength in fiscal responsibility managing budgets, agencies, staffing, and resources to maximize ROI

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Communications or related field; MBA a plus

  • 10-15 years of experience in marketing leadership roles for B2B or B2C, preferably in high-tech software or agency; cybersecurity and MSP experience a plus

  • 7-10 years people leadership and management experience building high performance, successful teams

  • Experience partnering with legal and technical teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • The ability to manage up, down and across an organization with diplomacy, negotiation and influence

  • Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and pilot multiple concurrent programs simultaneously

  • Data driven and results driven leader that can plan, organize, prioritize and problem solve to build a rich content engine for the organization

  • Creative, with meticulous attention to detail, to build an innovative brand

  • Highly motivated self-starter who can thrive with minimal supervision

  • Ability to travel 25% of time, as needed
