Solarwinds Inc. Program Manager, Customer Success in Morrisville, North Carolina

Overview

Solarwinds MSP has new openings within the MSP Program Management Office and is in search of strong candidates with backgrounds in Project and Program management specific to the IT industry. The candidate would possess strong communication, organizational and leadership skills related to the software development / SaaS industry. The right candidate would be very energized, motivated by change and driven to enhance team communication, collaboration and execution. This individual would be an accomplished technologist who is comfortable with a broad range of technology as well as enjoys cross functional team management. The position reports into the Director of PMO in Raleigh/Durham and is assigned to the Customer Success Department.

Responsibilities

  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment (preferred)

  • Manage the project delivery stream to ensure on time, quality, delivery

  • Take ownership of assigned projects, manage, influence and report

  • Actively participate and lead design review, requirements gathering, Sprint planning/Retrospectives and pressure test proposals

  • Run local and remote Daily Standups/Project Meetings with distributed teams

  • Create project plans and charters and oversee their execution

  • Collaborate with functions and corporate services related to the project

  • Ability to verify timelines and project schedules based on plans and business engagements

  • Identify Impediments and Remove project barriers and blockers

  • Ensure projects are completed holistically; documentation, training, production monitoring, escalation paths, etc.

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the product management lifecycle, from initiation through release

  • Provide empathy and understanding of customer needs and the impact on their business operations

  • Monitor KPIs to measure team performance and drive process improvement

  • Ability to act decisively and works well under pressure

  • Ability to adapt to change well

  • Strong Ability to work across multiple time zones

  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting

  • Comfortable traveling up to 30% of the time (Position requires the ability to apply for an receive a valid US Passport)

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in appropriate technical discipline.

  • Agile / Scrum Certifications (CSM/CPO Cert. a plus) and/or PMI, ITIL, Six Sigma Training (Preferred)

  • 5+ year’s relevant experience (experience working with organization that run technical projects)

  • Strong organization and project management skills – proven experience managing global project deployments

  • Experience with SaaS technologies and Software delivery

  • Understanding of Business Process and a strong corporate sense

  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word proficiencies
