Solarwinds Inc. Facilities Manager in Morrisville, North Carolina

Overview

The Facilities/Corporate Services Manager is responsible for overseeing facilities management, internal events/processes, and office operations in our Durham (Morrisville) office. This person will work closely with various internal departments and will manage a full suite of external vendors and service providers to develop and maintain innovative services for the company.

Responsibilities

Facilities

  • Buildouts

  • Drives strategic decision making as it relates to day to day operations, expansion requirements, and facilities support

  • Assists with space planning, seating assignments, and projections for growth requirements

  • Negotiates with property management companies and vendors

Budget/FP&A

  • Reporting

  • Forecasting

  • Planning

Leases

  • Liaison to Brokers

  • Assists with acquiring temporary space, as needed

  • Contracts, POs, invoicing

  • Coordination

  • Assists with contracts, pay apps, POs

  • Attends regular buildout meetings

  • Coordinates/communicates with all parties involved in the buildout

  • Assists with design development and construction management for new facilities and buildouts of existing facilities

  • Prioritizes operational needs and requirements from Executive Team while maintaining SolarWinds standards and directing and ensuring implementation

  • Assists with decommissioning of space

  • Obtaining vendors

  • Move coordination

  • Liaison to Property Management

  • Assists with office moves

  • Setup/organization/prep

  • Communication

Corporate Services

  • Oversees Corporate Services responsibilities/projects/processes

  • Management

  • Manages and coaches direct report(s)

  • SolarHR

  • Timesheets, PTO, goals and performance reviews

  • Issues/Escalations

  • Oversees Facilities Operations for MSP offices in NA

  • Vendor procurement, management, and coordination

  • Ordering/maintenance/repairs/warranties

  • Appliances, furniture, cleaning services, etc

  • Emergencies/Security/Safety

  • Liaison between landlords and property managers regarding building and facilities issues, disaster management, and business continuity planning for NA MSP offices

  • Collaborates with HR on health and safety policies

  • HR accommodation requests

  • Coupa

  • Approves Facilities purchases for MSP offices in NA

  • Approves expenses for direct report(s)

  • Coordinates with vendors, Legal, and Finance on contracts and POs

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, facilities, corporate services, property management or equivalent office management experience.

  • Solid people and project management skills.

  • Proven organizational skills, exceptional follow-through with the ability to prioritize and execute on numerous projects/tasks simultaneously.

  • Must be comfortable tracking project costs/budget

  • Experience working in a fast paced, ever changing and growing environment

  • Able to adapt to issues and changing priorities

  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and developing relationships with vendors to push deadlines and stay within project budgets.

  • Self-directed and the ability to work independently and drive projects from start to finish.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to react quickly and calmly under pressure.

Preferences:

  • Prior project management experience as it relates to buildouts/renovations.

  • Experience managing and coaching team members.

  • Ability to travel.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
