Overview

We are looking for a Web Developer /Designer with particular expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and JSON to work in our Edinburgh office. This position is a part of the customer marketing team and the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing in-product programs that will focus on customer onboarding, retention, and growth across the SolarWinds MSP portfolio of products.

Pendo is a growing privately owned company on the rise, with some of the most advanced technology to deliver customer in-app experience, product analytics and qualitative feedback

This is a cross-functional role where you will work closely with the Product Management, Product Marketing, Customer Experience, Customer Success, Technical Support and Sales to support users on products and services through an in-product communication system. The role will leverage your technical aptitude, strategic thinking, problem solving, analytics and customer insights.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops solutions using JavaScript and other related technologies. Leverage your experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, explore the advanced capabilities of an in-product communication system to create compelling guides for trial users and customers across the entire product portfolio.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Product Management, Product Marketing, Engineering, Customer Experience, Customer Success, and Technical Support, Sales) to build and execute in-product marketing programs, measure results, and optimize programs as needed.

  • Develop in-app solution integration with other systems such as Salesforce, Marketo.

  • Proactively access and analyze in-product programs and platform data to identify trends and/or patterns which lead to specific insights and additional testing initiatives. Utilize data to support decisions.

  • Ensures creation and maintenance of documentation including system requirements, system design, use cases, project artifacts, process models and flows.

  • Ability to execute QA programs to verify in-product programs work across different browsers, operating systems to effectively launch high-quality in-product programs.

  • Identify and drive improvements to our software and development processes.

  • Design and implement highly scalable and maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing scalable web applications.

  • Proficiency with JavaScript (coding from scratch), HTML5, CSS3 - Ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise, diving into HTML, CSS, JavaScript as needed to identify and fix issues.

  • Experience using REST with JSON.

  • Experience with SQL databases.

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex environments.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to organize and juggle multiple time-sensitive projects.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Data-driven, strong results orientation.
