The VP Sales, is responsible for leading the implementation and execution of the SolarWinds sales strategy, making certain that the corporate message is understood and its products are considered and ultimately chosen by leveraging sales and engineering resources.
This role will be responsible for learning and executing on the SolarWinds sales model; selling software consistently and predictably to achieve pre-determined sales quotas and targets while ensuring a satisfied customer base to build a sustainable business for future success in the territory.
Maximizing revenues through the direction of inside sales activities.
Provides guidance to mid-level management and sales representatives
Develops plans and strategies to promote the success of the inside sales team.
Maintains effective communication with executives and managers across the organization to ensure needs of the inside sales force.
Responsible for resource allocation including budget and personnel.
Achieving sales targets for SolarWinds products, solutions and initiatives within specific time frames across multiple market segments
Providing timely and accurate business forecasts to sales and executive management
Working closely with other cross-functional management teams in marketing, product, and finance operations
Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to build and motivate a sales organization to ensure both short and long term goals, objectives and quotas
Ability to understand sales numbers and manage to sales metrics
Ability to make daily adjustments to maintain deal velocity and momentum
Ability to understand and communicate business concepts
Ability to adapt to changing business issues and requirements
Significant sales management experience
Ability to lead, motivate and execute with a team of inside sales resources
Ability to recruit a team and scale against aggressive growth targets
Experience leading the direction and strategy across multiple go to market sales segments
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
Ideally have a background within a Tech/SaaS environment
