The Senior Marketing Manager of Global Channel will be responsible for the development and execution of the marketing strategy the supports our Global Channel program. Our Channel eco system is a key part of the SolarWinds go to market strategy and the Channel program is at the centre of our growth plans. This position will work with regional sales, marketing & business unit teams to create and execute innovative and strategic activities that increase awareness & strengthen SolarWinds channel relationships globally.

We are looking for a talented marketing manager who will take responsibility for campaigns, portal & engagement activities. This role will encompass design & implementation of a comprehensive multi-channel marketing plan that results in the growth of SolarWinds awareness in the Channel, drives demand, sales pipeline & revenue. Serving as a global channel marketing lead and point of accountability to regional channel sales & marketing – this position bears responsibility for driving business results, management of marketing functions / resources and organizational effectiveness. Success in this position will require someone with an entrepreneurial spirit that is willing to be disruptive and try new things but also manage resources judiciously and with a persistent focus on business impact

Responsibilities

• Create and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans. Set the strategic and tactical direction for marketing activities that support business plans & goals

• Plan, develop, execute and measure channel marketing efforts including to-partner, throughpartner and for-partner activities aligned to the business priorities

• Work with internal stakeholders & partners to deliver high-quality marketing activities that drive targeted demand creation

• Build co-marketing plans & content that support revenue targets and that are in line with local marketing plans

• Manage, administer, measure and report on channel budgets

• Measure, analyse and report on awareness, marketing activities to determine their contribution and evaluate marketing effectiveness/ROI

• Actively seek and create joint partner /customer success stories to showcase best practices and demonstrate strong partner relationships

• Drive awareness and enablement programs that inform partners of the latest campaigns, solution offerings, partner wins and tools that the organisation is creating to help them grow their businesses

• Develop and manage partner engagement activities (e.g. partner events, surveys, workshops, to-partner communications, partner training)

• Facilitate strong cross group collaboration and a commitment to marketing, evangelism and management excellence

• Drive operational excellence around planning, strategy and execution, including process & content management

• Own portal management. Ensure appropriate usage & adoption, current content, accurate information, develop process for continuous improvement in usage and capabilities

• Long term business strategy is regularly reviewed and updated as necessary

• Identify and plan for key priorities and strategic initiatives

• Own drive special projects as dictated by needs of the business

• Leverage data analysis and business intelligence to drive decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus

• Ideally 10+ years of experience in business or partner management is desired, preferably in a high technology area

• Results driven self-starter, highly motivated, quick learning individual with a sense of urgency who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment

• Strong analytical/business skills, proven budget management skills, outstanding communication skills, and good networking skills across a matrixed organization

• Highly organised problem solver that is detailed & process orientated with strong project management, planning skills & an ability to multi task

• Solid grasp of the channel landscape

• Knowledge of the software industry, IT buyer personas and working knowledge of related technologies

• Experience using a range of digital marketing mix techniques to drive awareness through to conversion. Deep understanding of demand funnel behaviour, optimization and performance measurement

• Detailed management and budget forecasting across multiple geos & channels

• Working knowledge of demand generation and direct / channel selling models, executing programs that increase engagement, improve sales pipeline, drive revenue and optimise the marketing budget

• Hands-on use and understanding of ad technology and marketing automation platforms, CRM and analytics platforms, such as Marketo, Salesforce.com, Tableau and Adobe Target
