Are you a partner to the business on improving sales performance through learning who can think and act globally and are comfortable working with senior stakeholders. Can you learn technical concepts quickly and communicate those to other people? Responsibilities

• Design and develop timely and effective learning solutions in multiple formats (iLT, viLT, digital formats, performance supports, and on-the-job development) for Solarwinds Partner Community

• Leverage expertise in instructional systems design, the software business, and inside sales acumen to custom build and deliver highly consumable content on sales processes, sales skills, product and technical training

• Serve as global program manager for partner programs targeting sales roles including the SolarWinds Sales Expert (SSE) Accreditation program, on-boarding programs, continuing education initiatives, and product release training; responsible for localization,

coordination, design, development, delivery, evaluation and ongoing analysis for constant improvement

• Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with key stakeholders including sales leaders, sales engineers, product marketing, renewals, and L&D

• Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on our core products, including the underlying technology, customer personas and pain points, use cases, etc.

• Make optimal use of our internal knowledge management systems, business applications and learning management systems for program coordination including registration, assignments, tracking, reporting, testing, and evaluation

Qualifications

Targeted Capabilities:

• Instructional Design: working knowledge of how adults in general - and salespeople specifically – learn; can translate learning needs into learning objects that measurably achieve required objectives

• Sales Acumen: understanding of prospects and a sense of how to approach a sale

• Technical Knowledge: business-level understanding of IT concepts including networks, systems, and virtualization technology

• Communication: crisp, compelling and practical style of writing, editing, speaking

• Confidence: executive presence to credibly and confidently work with reps and sales leadership in and out of the classroom

• Facilitation: facilitation skills that drive high levels of participant engagement

• Collaboration: able to partner with the business to identify and address the root causes of performance needs to improve sales metrics

• Program Management: able to prioritize, scope, plan, and execute to independently move projects forward in a fast-paced, global environment

• Initiative: able to solve problems and ask for help when needed to independently move self and projects forward, in a fast paced, high volume culture

• Graphic Design: ability to lay out content, choose fonts and color schemes, and remove a background from an image

• Communication: solidly grasps English with a strong vocabulary; ability to write and speak properly, confidently, and concisely in a practical, compelling, and informal way; embraces

• Business Acumen: understands the opportunities, risks, and needs of internal and external sales forces

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required

• Ideally a minimum 5+ years of experience in direct sales and/or channel with demonstrated sales training experience designing and delivering sales and/or technical training, ideally in a software or sales environment

• Ability to occasionally travel

• Experience in a fast-paced, iterative organization

• Demonstrated passion for sales training
