SolarWinds Service Desk is a cloud-based IT service management solution built to streamline the way IT provides support and delivers services to the rest of the organization.

Solarwinds is in search of a Senior Salesforce Admin, at our Cary, NC office, to support the Sales and Marketing Organization in all aspects of SFDC CRM administration; CPQ/Quote to Cash experience, reporting, systems and process documentation. The Senior Salesforce Admin is also responsible for troubleshooting, optimization, and assisting with end-user training.


  • Manage the relationship with key business stakeholders to continuously define and meet business priorities

  • Actively lead change management (communications, online help, UAT, training, etc.) to support program rollouts in partnership with Sales Operations

  • Elicit continuous system and process improvement requirements using cross-departmental workshops, use cases, process documentation, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis

  • Support sales performance reporting, partnering closely with sales to understand their critical priorities and data needs

  • Lead various ad hoc Salesforce administration projects with primary emphasis on continuity of sales and marketing operations

  • Work with key stakeholders to develop and refine KPIs to adapt with changing business needs

  • Propose new projects and ideas to further facilitate potential growth through more scalable solutions

  • Standard Salesforce administration responsibilities (user maintenance, new fields, workflows, reporting and dashboard generation, etc.)


  • 7+ years Salesforce administration experience, including Sales and Service Cloud, CPQ and Lightning

  • Knowledge of marketing applications (Marketo preferred)

  • Experience using Salesforce Communities

  • Passion for leading and driving to results, with the ability to analyze systems and processes for inefficiencies leading to clearly communicated recommendations for solutions or improvements using either new or existing technology

  • Ability to manage change in an agile environment with global stakeholders

  • Excellent skills in self-audit – careful documentation of process, testing changes thoroughly, and ability to interpret results to verify accuracy or identify anomalies

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Tableau are pluses
