Solarwinds Inc. HR Manager in Berlin, Germany
SolarWinds is looking for a highly motivated HR Manager for our Berlin office, who thrives in a challenging and fast paced environment. We are an international company, currently we have employees in 15 countries world-wide. In this position you will be responsible for executing relevant human resource strategies to support the growth of the business in our Berlin office where we currently have 60 employees. Plans for a growing office within a fast-moving company may present development opportunities for this role.
Identify, define and implement HR solutions that address the needs of the business while taking into account the broader implications of HR and Company strategies, and impact on other functions.
Advise and coach managers and employees on all HR related questions, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Build and maintain effective relationships with the works council.
Build a great place to work by partnering with HR functional specialists and business partner colleagues to develop, implement and communicate programs aligned with functional goals for benefits & rewards, performance management, engagement, retention & mobility.
Ensure excellent alignment with established human resources policies & procedures in execution of business unit and site HR initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company legal and HR practices within area of responsibility and with legislative and regulatory requirements, standards and other relevant policies and guidelines. Liaise with legal and HR Operations as appropriate.
Identify talent and succession gaps before they affect the business. Serve as an internal talent scout for key positions and help develop the next generation of leaders through talent management and career development.
Provide recommendations and implement solutions to motivate, develop and retain employees.
Effectively utilize data to provide relevant, accurate information for both internal clients and HR.
Facilitate discussion on engagement survey results and support implementation of resulting initiatives.
SolarWinds operates as a global team; this role will participate in and lead global projects
Broad HR experience with a proven track record as a business partner in a comparable role and in collaborating globally with HR colleagues, functional specialists and internal clients.
Excellent understanding of German labor laws and practices and works constitution law.
Deep and demonstrated experience working with employee representatives.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to adapt interpersonal style and influence effectively at all levels in the organization. The ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy is a requirement.
Degree in human resources, general business or equivalent education.
Fluent English & German speaker with business level writing skills in both languages.
Proven ability to use creativity to solve problems & to assess people requirements, identify potential issues and develop proactive solutions.
Experience and enthusiasm working in a fast paced and changing business environment, effectively managing multiple priorities, and building relationships across functions.
Comfortable with ambiguity, and able to influence key stakeholders to move the HR agenda forward.
Aptitude and proven ability to resolve conflicts creatively and collaboratively.
Ability to exercise good business judgment, problem-solve and analyze data.
Experience in performance management, employee relations & investigations and an understanding of total reward practices.
