The Vice President of Product Management will drive growth and product portfolio leadership for the industry’s leader in Network Performance Monitoring and Diagnostics.
This person will be responsible for developing the global network monitoring product vision and strategy, working in concert with global engineering teams, sales, and marketing to successfully achieve growth objectives.
The successful candidate is a thought leader in the network management and IT Operations space and has a proven track record of fast-paced execution. This individual will lead of team of product management to identify compelling market opportunities and solve customer problems in new and innovative ways to create differentiation in the marketplace. Understanding market dynamics, making the right product investment trade-offs that generate high growth and profitability.
The Vice President Product Management will be responsible for the Network Monitoring portfolio product strategy, roadmap, and growth objectives. He/She will:
Build a world-class product management team to drive product strategy, planning, and execution for the network monitoring market. Recruit, retain, and develop exceptional product talent. Leverage your product management and leadership skills to develop a strong product management function and support a culture of mentorship and collaboration.
Manage a large portfolio of products that includes the industry’s best network monitoring platform (Orion). Drive the evolution of the portfolio through organic and inorganic strategies to capture new growth opportunities in hybrid cloud.
Collaborate across all company-wide functions to drive growth and profitability for SolarWind’s largest revenue generating business. Use your expertise in monetizing technology innovation to collaborate with product marketing, corporate marketing, demand generation to build and execute business plans for maximum revenue growth.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business. MBA preferred.
10+ years of senior product management experience with recent experience in a leadership position for a portfolio of significant size ($100M+ in annual revenue).
Demonstrated successful experience managing a diverse portfolio with both profit and growth agendas. Experience is driving portfolios to deliver high NPS scores and delight the customer.
An established collaborative leadership style coming from years of experience leading large distributed organizations.
Proven track record of leading business strategies for IT Operations Management (infrastructure, application & service management) product portfolios with in-depth knowledge of leading-edge market product trends, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics. Understanding of both the on-premise and cloud markets.
Track record balancing the conceptualization of strategic initiatives with tactical execution.
Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire product management professionals to succeed and innovate in a fast changing, highly competitive market, keeping the team focused on breakthrough strategies and tactics to best leverage the resources of a growing company.
Strong track record of delivering highly competitive (disruptive) products while meeting or exceeding revenue, margin and delivery commitments.
Experience working in complex environments where the need to scale has been important.
An innate understanding of technology and how to use it to provide competitive advantage that translates into building outstanding products.
