We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own global go-to-market strategy for one or two key products within our IT Operations Management portfolio. This leadership role provides a chance to demonstrate your exceptional product marketing skills across the company. The right person for this role loves telling compelling and memorable stories to IT professionals about technical products, working with marketing and sales, and doing what it takes to ‘move the needle’ and achieve the financial and market success of their products.

Working with Product Management
As an experienced Product Marketing Manager, you will need to partner with Product Management to understand the value or your products, to provide feedback and insights for roadmap generation, to determine the business goals for your products, and to execute powerful and impactful product launches.
Working with Sales
It’s your job to help future customers discover SolarWinds and your products, and to help them understand why the product is right for them – ensuring the quality of prospects that are handed-over to talk to sales. You also need to ensure that sales are trained on your products, and are enabled with the knowledge and collateral required to close the deal.
Corporate Marketing and Demand Generation
At SolarWinds, Product Marketing works closely with marketing teams to ensure we are reaching the right audiences, that we have effective content, that we are driving both awareness and demand, and that we are both acquiring new customers and cross-selling more into our install base. Your go-to-market plans helps define the direction, which campaigns you’ll run, and you’ll also help drive execution by writing e-mail and web content, marketing collateral, webinars, and more.

We’re not big on travel, and in most situations, we use the phone, web meetings, surveys, and more to minimize the need to travel. However, you may occasionally travel to tradeshows and industry events where you will meet with customers and prospects, and evangelize your products and SolarWinds. As needed, you may also travel to some of our regional offices across North America, EMEA and APAC in support of sales and partner training.
An understanding of information technology buyers and the IT industry is a critical starting point.
3+ years of Product Marketing (or Product Management with a strong emphasis on marketing activities) for a B2B technical software product
BA/BS minimum; MBA or equivalent experience desired
Experience owning the go-to-market for, and launching successful products
Great writer and great presenter, with an ability to deliver technical content in a clear, concise, and compelling language
A curiosity that drives investigation and learning
Experience interacting with customers, partners, and press/analysts with accuracy and professionalism.
Strong understanding with digital marketing technologies and methods. Consumer experience a plus.
Demonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline to work effectively in a high-paced environment
Ability to think and execute at both strategic and operational levels
