Solarwinds Inc. Senior Marketing Automation & Technology Manager in Austin, Texas

Overview

SolarWinds, a rapidly growing IT Software company based in Austin, TX is looking for a Sr. Marketing Automation Manager to help build, manage and expand its marketing automation and technology stack. This role requires working cross-functionally in a high-paced environment and is critical to SolarWinds’ growth. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Automation, this talented manager will thrive in solving creatively complex marketing technology challenges and will be the subject matter expert in all things MarTech.

Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize all aspects of programs and automation within Marketo including developing Marketing Smart Campaigns, creating Smart Lists, uploading lead lists and data clean-up.

  • Help map the prospect and customer journey using scoring, nurture streams, lead routing, automation and emails throughout the buyer’s journey.

  • Supports marketers in learning to leverage the automation capabilities of the marketing tools and in carrying out continual cycles of analysis and improvement for marketing activity.

  • Ensure consistent and effective use of Marketo for lead management and reporting and provide services around Marketo as needed.

  • Assist with and provide insights into database optimization, including list segmentation, data cleanliness and integrity within Marketing databases.

  • Manage strategy for, grow size of and improve quality of the contact database (prospect and customer) to enable effective customer segmentation and profiling.

  • Work cross-functionally with SolarWinds’ internal analytics team to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization and to improve performance benchmarks.

  • Oversee technical stack integration, deployments, maintenance and business rules which include marketing databases and campaign management tools.

  • Help manage the Marketing Automation roadmap, keep abreast of industry trends and work with senior management across Marketing to outline long-term vision for evolving tech-stack and processes.

  • Ensure all current marketing technology is being fully leveraged and optimized across programs and applications.

  • Establish and implement best practices for system maintenance, configuration, development testing, data integrity, etc.

  • Participate in cross-functional teams that address strategic business issues involving CRM and business operations, act in a consultative capacity to ensure Martech stack is optimized.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or related degree

  • 5+ years hands on B2B experience with marketing automation tools

  • Hands-on Marketo experience in an advanced/admin capacity, Marketo certified preferred

  • Innovative thinker, creative problem solver

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, build consensus, and communicate your ideas

  • Ability to excel in a dynamic fast-paced, highly demanding environment

  • Proficiency with Excel data modeling and analysis skills

Preferences:

  • Prior people management experience preferred

  • Experience with SQL (Structured Query Language) and Tableau a plus
