Solarwinds Inc. Sales Operations Associate in Austin, Texas


The Sales Operations Associate role ensures that SolarWinds internal policies, mechanisms and guidelines around sales process comply with company standards and expectations and are being adhered to by the Sales organization. The role uses auditing skills to review sales data and detect errors that may be due to process breakdowns, training gaps or improper observance to SolarWinds Sales best practices. Outside of just detecting errors, the Sales Operations Associate will be expected to also provide solutions to how to avoid these situations in the future. This is a hands-on role that will require someone to have a critical eye towards finding problems and solving them.


  • Audit of the Sales Funnel Process

o Perform detailed analytics and modeling of the sales pipeline to identify opportunities and issues

o Responsible for first line monitoring to ensure reps are fully compliant with Sales processes and standards

o Create audit framework/scorecards based on predetermined KPIs for the Sales organization

o Monitor and Report on various metrics pertaining to the flow of leads and opportunities through our Sales motion/stages

o Based on a set of KPIs and developed scorecards, identify potential errors in rep behavior that were not caught by their Sales Managers and provide detailed analysis back to Management.

o Report to Senior Sales Management the health of their Sales team pipeline and bring forth areas of improvements to ensure pipeline is as accurate as possible

o Monitor rep performance, ensuring that they are following the 7 Daily Disciplines of our Sales motion

o Provide audit results to management for effective, documented coaching and feedback for reps

  • Monitoring of Sales Rules of Engagement (RoE)

o Report potential conflicts of Sales practices based on the documented RoE

o Provide guidance to Reps and Managers on RoE and how to best follow them

o Insure the RoE are always up-to-date and accurate in our ever-evolving organization

  • Compliance

o Work with Sales Operations on implementing governmental compliance best practices

o Monitor and report on compliance behaviors throughout the sales organization


  • BA/BS required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience in Salesforce CRM is a plus

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience preferably in an analytics environment
