Solarwinds Inc. Marketing Operations Manager in Austin, Texas


The role of the marketing operations manager is to focus on the design, execution and operations of a program and/or process within the SolarWinds marketing team. This role excels in project management and can both identify and facilitate change to achieve scalability, predictability, and efficiency across marketing. This is an engaging and hands-on role that requires an individual who is capable of functioning and excelling at both a strategic and tactical position.


  • Actively partner with key stakeholders in demand generation, customer marketing, corporate marketing, product marketing, finance and sales to facilitate and manage cross-team efforts to turn insights into practice

  • Develop/optimize and implement procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiency within various departments

  • Program manage cross-departmental teams as a part of the product release cycle and/or product campaign, providing tracking, reporting and communication on required deliverables to ensure they are completed on time and within established processes

  • Investigate and report on program ROI in a consumable and executable manner

  • Manage and track budgets and purchasing for entire buiness units

  • Facilitate meetings and communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure they are establishing and executing on the right business initiatives

  • Create strong recommendations and business context to drive decisions

  • Develop management/leadership skills through self-evaluation, mentoring, training courses and feedback


  • BA/BS required

  • Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience, ideally in an operations roles

  • Marketing/Sales experience is desirable

  • Project management experience, specifically within a software company, that includes defining, scheduling, budgeting, tracking and reporting.
