Solarwinds Inc. Marketing Database Manager in Austin, Texas
SolarWinds, a rapidly growing IT Software company based in Austin, TX is looking for a Marketing Database Manager to help build, manage and expand its marketing database operation and segmentation capabilities.
This highly analytical role requires working hands-on to support daily database list pulls, involves interacting cross-functionally in a high-paced environment and is instrumental in helping SolarWinds design and implement its database segmentation strategy. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Automation, the ideal candidate works well cross-funtionally, is a self-starter, thrives in solving complex marketing database challenges, and will be the subject matter expert in all things database operations.
Develop expert knowledge of current database architecture, automation and processes and recommend ongoing process improvements.
Help design and implement marketing data architecture to get the right data to the right teams.
Leverage expert SQL programming skills to run extensive data queries across large volumes of data, multiple data extensions, and campaign history or modify existing queries to meet requirements of request if needed.
Experience with updating stored procedures and Begin Transaction/Commit/RollBack statements.
Understand object-oriented coding to help with defining business needs to the Biz Apps team.
Work with Business Analytics and BI teams to design reports and dashboards using Tableau to visualize data in easily digestible format for several audiences.
Assist with building data structure to leverage complex models such as marketing attribution and customer segmentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as BI, IT, marketing and more in gathering information to determine specification requirements for data requests, reports, and ongoing utility.
Perform routine database audits that includes review of business rules, data validation and augmentation, merging and purging duplicate records, etc.
Work continuously with cross-functional teams to enhance/optimize the data model to accelerate information, reporting, and insights while ensuring accuracy.
4+ years experience working with and analyzing large data sets
Bachelor degree in a quantitative/analytical discipline a must
Demonstrated strong Excel skills using formulas and pivoting data
Working knowledge of SQL
Ability to communicate results clearly and a demonstrated focus on driving growth
Prior experience with Marketing Automation, Marketing Operations or Sales Operations a plus
Marketo and Saleforce experience preferred
