The Advanced Analytics organization is seeking an experienced Associate Data Scientist to join our vibrant and knowledgeable team. This high-profile position will require drive and creativity, as you will quickly be involved in developing data analytics features influencing all areas of the business.
Conduct thorough analysis to gain deep understanding of data and identify key trends and conclusions.
Focus on overall business and organizational operations to create actionable and interpretable analysis.
Comprehend and answer business questions through data.
Communicate with stakeholders, identify business requirements and execute on project tasks.
Communicate across multiple channels to get access to data, identify key data features, and work with developers to build data structures.
Identify advanced analytics business opportunities, communicate with key stakeholders to gain acceptance and complete analysis in timely manner.
Create meaningful data from relational database and NOSQL database through understanding of business processes.
Apply advanced statistical modeling to analysis, including regression, time series, longitudinal analysis, categorical analysis, survival analysis, clustering and segmentation, neural networks, deep learning and natural language processing (R or Python).
Research and learn new statistical methods to achieve accurate and appropriate results.
Complete full life cycle of data science projects from identifying analysis to implementation. This includes but not limited to meeting stakeholders, determining question to be answered, data gathering, feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, modeling iteration, delivery, and implementation.
Translate results into simple, easily understood and actionable results, present to stakeholders.
2+ years working in a collaborative professional environment. Previous experience in a data science team environment a plus
Intermediate to advanced skill in one or several of the following selected technologies: R, Python, SAS, C#, C++, Java, SQL, Scala, AWS, Spark, Hadoop.
Proficient in SQL
Passion for analytics and intellectual curiosity. Desire to help drive immediate improvement in business results.
Understanding and knowledge in data science methodologies including regression, time series, longitudinal analysis, categorical analysis, survival analysis, clustering and segmentation, neural networks, deep learning and natural language processing
Experience implementing a broad range of data science methodologies, understanding of the statistical concepts as well as the implications behind the methodologies to avoid common pitfalls
Experience creating interactive visualization dashboards for a broad audience (Python, R, Tableau, etc)
Excellent communication skills, ability to translate results across multiple business platforms into simple, easily understood results
Natural ability to effectively communicate results to a technical and non-technical audiences
Exceptional project and organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize multiple complex assignments.
Ability to quickly identify and solve problems in a fast paced, changing environment
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (statistics, data science, computer science, operations research, etc)
MBA or Masters a plus
Experience with Docker, Git, and Shell a plus.
Experience implementing and deploying machine learning solutions a plus
