SolarWinds is seeking a National Government Account Executive (NGAE) is responsible for creating/developing new sales opportunities within Government departments and agencies in Australia; while at the same time ensuring a satisfied customer base which allows us to build a sustainable business for future success in the territory.

Responsibilities:

The NGAE has responsibility for:

  • Achieving sales targets for SolarWinds products, solutions and initiatives within specific time frames across the installed customer base and new customer opportunities

  • Using Salesforce.com as a productivity tool to provide timely and accurate forecasts to management

  • Attending regional trade shows and conferences promoting Solarwinds to the National Government segment

  • Develop strategic relationships with Systems Integrators that focus on Australian Government

  • Work closely with channel partners and enable their business to deliver incremental Government bookings

  • Working closely with other cross-functional management teams in the sales, marketing and product groups

  • Championing technical requirements unique to Australian Government (standards, security requirements, compliance, etc.)

  • Responding to RFI’s and RFQ’s

Qualifications:

Core Competencies:

  • Must be incredibly self-motivated and possess strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently; strong internal and external communication skills

  • Ability to understand sales numbers and manage to daily sales metrics

  • Ability to make adjustments to maintain deal velocity and momentum

  • Ability to understand and communicate business concepts

  • Ability to adapt to changing business issues and requirements and be creative in suggesting new approaches

  • Knowledge and experience with networking technologies

  • Experience in a quota carrying sales role with demonstrated achievement selling to Australian Government

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment

  • Experience managing Systems Integrators and channel partners

  • Understanding of Australian Government procurement cycles and procurement vehicles
