SolarWinds is hiring Inside Sales Representative to develop sales opportunities by contacting via cold sales calls, qualifying and educating prospects on technical software products and will be selling into the Database marketplace, primarily DBA's. Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and e-mail, assist potential customers during their evaluation process, create quotes and new customer accounts, co-ordinate with channel partners, close sales and proactively sell into the installed base and new accounts

  • Keep Solarwinds management informed by maintaining accurate customer and pipeline records within SalesForce

  • Submit accurate and timely activity reports as required

  • Conduct product demonstrations via the internet to potential customer’s audiences that are both technical and non-technical

  • Provide Solarwinds Management with information about their Account's opportunities and identifying new business and channel partnerships

  • Work through Budget analysis to figure out which account has funding and who we should be aggressively working

Qualifications:

  • Federal Sales experience

  • Passion for selling especially into IT

  • Enthusiastic and self starting approach

  • Demonstrable record of sales success against quota

  • Knowledge and experience of networking technologies and overall Solarwinds business environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office/Exchange, and SalesForce
