Solarwinds Inc. Technical Trainer in Fort Bonifacio, Philippines
Solarwinds MSP is seeking a Technical Trainer to develop and lead learning programs on Solarwinds MSP products to members of the technical support team. The Technical Trainer will serve as a key liaison between product management, development, and the support team to ensure that support representatives are knowledge on product features and are up-to-date on recent product changes.
This position requires someone who is organized, engaging, creative, data-driven, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate learning programs through a variety of delivery methods. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate training programs on Solarwinds MSP products
Create training materials such as presentations, worksheets, quick-reference cards, assessments, training videos, and/or simulations
Collaborate with product managers and development teams to update training materials and knowledge articles on new releases
Solicit feedback from product subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy of training materials
Conduct training needs assessments to determine gaps in technical and soft skills amongst the support team
Work closely with fellow members of the training team, the support leadership team, and support managers to strategically plan learning initiatives to address discovered knowledge and skill gaps
Assess and report on results of training programs through formal and informal evaluations
Assist in the implementation of the department’s Knowledge-Centered Support program by serving as a trainer and coach on the topic, leading the local KCS coaching team, and ensuring article quality through content reviews
Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Instructional Technology, Education, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field required
Previous experience as a technical trainer required, 2+ years preferred
Effective and engaging communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Demonstrated knowledge of basic technical topics such as networking, mail flow, command line, troubleshooting, etc.
Experience in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Captivate, and Camtasia preferred
Experience using Learning Management Systems such as Moodle, Docebo, or Saba preferred
Previous experience working in a technical support role preferred
